Sonsona survives Arellano in California

IT WAS deemed a keep-busy fight, but Marvin Sonsona got more than that after barely getting past Jonathan Arellano yesterday at the StubHub Center in Carson, California.
After 10 rounds, Sonsona walked away with a majority decision with two judges scoring in his favor.
Judges Sergio Caiz and Pat Russel both scored it 96-94 for Sonsona, while judge Eddie Hernandez saw it as a 95-95 draw.
Sonsona improved to 20-1-1 with 15 knockouts, while Arellano dropped to 15-6-2 with three knockouts.
