Noy to inaugurate P751.6-M projects in Negros

BACOLOD CITY, Philippines – President Aquino will inaugurate P751.6 million worth of projects in Negros Occidental during his visit on April 30.

Negros Occidental Gov. Alfredo Marañon Jr. said the President would inaugurate the P630-million four-story Negros First Cyber Center (NFCC) and the P66.5-million three-story, 45-classroom building at the Negros Occidental High School both in Bacolod City, and the P55.1-million Negros First Rice Processing Center (NFRPC) in Barangay Tabunan in Bago City.

Aquino issued Presidential Proclamation 802 on June 11, 2014 declaring the NFCC an IT Center Special Economic Zone.

The NFRPC is a modern rice-processing center built by the Department of Agriculture and the provincial government of Negros Occidental. It has a milling capacity of 10 tons per hour, which is expected to improve rice production and reduce post-harvest losses.
