2 die in Laguna, Batangas violence

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines – Two persons died in separate incidents in Laguna and Batangas Saturday, police reported yesterday.
Reports said Rolando Mendoza was allegedly shot dead by his rival identified as Rey Bigata in Calatagan, Batangas.
Police arrested Bigata after the incident that occurred in Barangay Tanagan at around 8:30 p.m.
In Laguna, Nicanor Mulimbayan was hit with a steel pipe by suspect Rizaldy Banasihan, 28, in Barangay Bayog, Los Baños.
Mulimbayan died while being rushed to the Bay District Hospital.
Police arrested Banasihan.
