TONI Gonzaga said Tuesday it was never her intention to offend anyone following criticisms over her hosting style during the recent 52nd Bb. Pilipinas pageant.

In press conference for her upcoming movie "You're My Boss," Toni said organizers instructed her to make the event light and fun even as she apologized to those who were not pleased by her side comments.

"Dun sa mga hindi natuwa, hindi naibigan ang napanood nila nung Sunday, I'm humbly asking for an apology kung if I've offended, or I have maligned or I have hurt anyone of you, but it was never my intention because prior to the show I was instructed to make the show fun, light and ease the tension, especially during the Q&A (question and answer) portion," she said.

"So, it was never my intention, again, it was instructed to me to host that way, to make it lively and fun."

The television host-actress said the Bb. Pilipinas organization even commended her work last Sunday. She also thanked her colleagues and supporters for defending her.

"Maganda yung mga sinabi nila (Bb. Pilipinas organization) sa akin. They texted me very nice and encouraging words and I'm thankful for that. In the spirit of beauty pageants, let's end this issue with world peace," Toni said. (Sunnex)
