Mike Arroyo's request for Japan trip granted - Tempo
Do you like this story?
Manila, Philippines – Former First Gentleman Miguel “Mike” Arroyo said yesterday that he was allowed by the Sandiganbayan to travel to Japan with his family.
With this, Mr. Arroyo assured that he will be back in time for the birthday of his wife, former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, on April 5.
“I will be back before that time,” Mr. Arroyo told reporters after attending the hearing of his wife’s plunder case at the Sandiganbayan yesterday morning.
The former First Gentleman is currently facing graft charges at the Sandiganbayan’s Fourth Division over the botched $329-million national broadband network deal and another at Fifth Division for the alleged overpriced sale of P34 million of used helicopters that were passed as new to the Philippine National Police (PNP).
