Brothers stabbed in a benefit dance



Ormoc City Police Office, October 14, 2013 - Brothers attending a benefit dance featured a stab by unidentified suspects in Purok 5 Brgy. Maticaa, Ormoc City, Sunday October 13, 2013. Police investigation disclose the victims: Joseph Laurente, 20 years old and younger brother Jaynald Laurente, 19 sustained separate stab wounds on their right and left underarm, respectively.

They were immediately rushed to OSPA hospital for medical attendance. Police are still investigating to identify the suspects from witnesses on the scene of the crime. Report disclosed victim were under the influence of alcohol when the incident happened. Further report revealed that victim earlier rubbed elbows with suspects then waited the latter outside the dance area that gradually featured a fight eventually resulting to the stabbing incident.

This one lapse in the community dance benefit that should be taken cared of by Brgy. Tanod to ensure the safety and peaceful conduct of said activity in effort to help raise community fund whatever, says OCPO director PSSUPT ELIZAR PATANO EGLOSO.

Our peace officers in the barangays should be able to stop persons carrying deadly and dangerous weapons to prevent any untoward incident. And they should immediately report to police authorities anyone they visibly see carrying weapons, however concealed they may seem to be, concludes PSSUPT EGLOSO.
