Investigation underway on slain businessman in Albuera, Leyte

Police in Albuera town in Leyte have launched an investigation on the killing of a businessman around 10 a.m. of August 23. The perpetrators left Emerson Piano, 54, with 11 gunshot wounds. The victim was shot dead at the vicinity of his shop in Real St., Albuera, located across the municipal hall.
Eyewitnesses said the gunmen, who wore helmets, were riding in tandem and immediately left after shooting Piano. The suspects were described as around 30 to 40 years old. Police said Piano had no enemy and was not involved in any illegal activity.
The police said they currently have a lead on the suspects, but declined to disclose pending investigation. Piano is a native of Albuera, but resides in Baybay City. He managed his own machine shop.
