Unity at the top, skirmishes below

FOR the topmost offices, an alliance between the Alayon Party in Cebu and the Liberal Party is being arranged.
But that’s no guarantee their local allies can agree on common candidates in the towns and cities.
Alayon has expressed support for Interior and Local Government Secretary Mar Roxas, if he runs for president in 2016, along with the Liberal Party’s (LP) candidates for governor and vice governor of Cebu.
Their allies, however, expect to face LP candidates for Congress, mayor and vice mayor.
