Jam of Youtube sensation JaMich dies

MANILA -- Jam Sebastian, one-half of the YouTube sensation JaMich, passed away on Wednesday after months of battling lung cancer. He was 28.


“The fight is over. We lost the battle. My son, Jam Fernando Sebastian, just passed away at 10:30 a.m., March 4, 2015,” Sebastian's mother, Maricar, said in her Facebook post.


Paolinne Michelle Liggayu, fiancé of Sebastian, said no words could explain how painful it was but she was thankful that he would no longer suffer.


"Pray tayo ulit. But this time mag thank you tayo kasi magiging happy na si Jam with God and angels," she said on Twitter.


Some personalities and netizens expressed their condolences to Sebastian's loved ones, making "RIP Jam" a trending topic worldwide.


Sebastian was placed on life support in his final days. During that period, a flurry of well-known personalities visited him in the hospital such as Kris Aquino and "It's Showtime" hosts Jhong Hilario and Vice Ganda.


World boxing champion Manny Pacquiao also offered an inspirational message to Sebastian, saying God is the "only way" to salvation. (Sunnex)
