Albert Martinez remembers wife Liezl on her birthday

"HAPPY birthday in heaven Mama."

Actor Albert Martinez posted this on image-sharing app Instagram along with a photo of him and late wife Liezl Martinez, who would have turned 48 on Friday, March 27.

Liezl died two weeks ago after her long battle with breast cancer.

Albert remembered his late wife through a series of photos and said that he's still missing her.

"I heard someone whisper your name. When I turned around to see who it was, I found myself alone. Then I knew, it was my heart missing you."

Aside from Albert, their children commemorate Liezl's memories on her special day.

Alyanna Martinez, the couple's eldest child, posted a photo with her mother taken in Montserrat in 2013. She wrote: "Now it is our turn to light a candle for you! Happy Birthday in Heaven Mama."

She also posted photos of Liezl, the latter's father Romeo "Bobby" Vasquez, and their family celebrating the late actress' birthday a few years ago.

The couple's other daughter, Alissa Martinez, also posted a photo with her mother and said she missed her so much.

"This was Mama's birthday last year. She would've been 48 today. Happy birthday, Mama? I'm sure you're having an amazing birthday in heaven. I miss you so so much. Still so weird not having you around. Always watch over and protect us. I love you so much."
