Camarines Norte gov apologizes over leaked photos of alleged affair - GMA News

Camarines Norte Governor Edgardo Tallado on Monday apologized to his constituents over leaked photos indicating he had an extramarital affair.

Tallado issued the apology after the Monday flag ceremony attended by local officials, radio dzBB reported Monday afternoon.

Provincial vice governor Jonah Pimentel was quoted in the report as saying the governor was almost emotional while giving his apology.

A photo tweeted by GMA News stringer Peewee Bacunio showed the governor addressing his constituents.

The dzBB report said the governor also threatened to take legal action against those spreading photos of the supposed affair, including via social media.

The alleged affair surfaced last week after Tallado's wife Josie, who disappeared a few days, surfaced and claimed she ran away from their home for fear the governor may harm her.

She said at the time that the governor accused her of posting images of his supposed mistress on social media. Joel Locsin/JDS, GMA News
