Bulacan project benefits 63 NGOs

MANILA, Philippines - The number of non-government organizations (NGO) in the third district of Bulacan which have benefited from the “Bisikleta Bilis Kita” livelihood project of former provincial governor, now Rep. Joselito Mendoza has risen to 63.
Mendoza’s office gave assurance that it would continue to assist NGOs and individuals deserving of the project. This year alone, 10 more NGOs have been added to the list of beneficiaries, it added.
Under the project, beneficiaries are provided with bicycles with sidecars that they can use as rolling stores.
Started in 2011, the project provides an initial capital of P2,000 to P5,000 to individual beneficiaries, and P10,000 to P30,000 to NGO beneficiaries.
At least 50 beneficiaries have improved their quality of life with the project.
