PNoy, Obama effigies reach Mendiola, traffic disrupted - GMA News
Do you like this story?
Traffic in the Mendiola Bridge area near Malacañan Palace was disrupted Monday afternoon as militants brought there the effigies of visiting US President Barack Obama and President Benigno Aquino III.
An Instagram video posted by GMA News' Steve Dailisan showed the effigies making their way to the corner of C.M. Recto Avenue and Legarda Street.
The effigy of Obama was mounted on a chariot pulled by an effigy of Aquino, who the militants tagged as the US' lapdog.
Several members of militant groups raised their fists as the effigy passed them.
A separate report by dzBB's Rowena Salvacion said traffic in the area was tight. Mendiola had been closed to traffic since Monday morning. —Joel Locsin/KG, GMA News
