Petilla vows to restore power anew - Tempo
Do you like this story?
Malacanang said yesterday that Energy Secretary Carlos Jericho Petilla has vowed to restore electricity in all areas affected by typhoon “Pablo” within 45 days.
Petilla’s vow came after President Aquino was irked after learning that some areas hit by Pablo in 2012 still have no electricity.
“The DoE is clearly on point on this and Secretary Petilla has assured the full restoration of electricity of all Pablo affected areas within 45 days,” deputy presidential spokesperson Abigail Valte said yesterday.
“He will be submitting a memo to the President containing the details of his action plan so no more passing, DoE is on point,” she added.
Valte said Petilla still has the trust and confidence of Aquino but she said that certainly, heads will roll if areas affected by Pablo still have no electricity within 45 days. (Madel S. Namit)
