Nantwich coffee mornings for typhoon-hit Philippines
AN ex-pat Philippine woman who lives in Nantwich is holding two coffee mornings to raise money for victims of typhoon Haiyan in her hometown of San Miguel Leyte.
The coffee mornings at St Mary’s Parish Hall this Saturday, March 1 between 9am-12noon, and on Saturday May 31, are the latest fundraisers organised by Anna Baldos-Robinson.
She has already raised more than £1,000 for people in San Miguel Leyte, west of Tacloban City, which was devastated by last November’s typhoon.
She said: “Funds will be used to provide vegetable seeds, children’s clothing and help children get into school in June.
“Any donations will be highly appreciated. Nothing is too little; everyone’s support is priceless.”
