Guest in drinking spree. Stabbed

Ormoc City Police Office, October 8, 2013 - An invited guest to a drinking spree was suddenly attacked when he was about to leave by his host in Brgy. San Antonio, Sunday October 6, 2013. Police report disclose that victim was amiably invited to a drink by suspect identified as Laureto Pugoy y Caparas having drink with his cousin Bernie Pugoy in the store of the suspects’ sister when the former was buying food item.

Carried by the friendly invitation, the victim identified as Ronnel Dumagan joined the duo in the drink but was suddenly attacked when he was preparing to leave without apparent reason by the suspect. Victim sustained stab wound on his mid auxiliary line from a 12 inch long bladed weapon. He was able to run taking refuge in his house. And while information seeking police assistance was already called, suspect was collared by responding policemen still holding in cold blood the weapon used.

Police apprehended the suspect, who peacefully surrendered to authorities apprising him of his constitutional rights. Victim meanwhile was immediately rushed to the hospital while suspect was brought to Ormoc City Police Station 1 for documentation.

A case for Frustrated Murder is already filed against the suspect as of press time before the prosecutors’ office under docket nr. VIII-04-INQ-13J-00072 dated 05 October 2013.
