OCPO launched 1st radio program: “Katambayayong Sa Kalinaw” over DYAJPower 90.3 FM.



Ormoc City Police Office, September 9, 2013 - To reach out and afford many about police matters, Ormoc City Police Office (OCPO) launched its 1st Radio Program entitled “Katambayayong Sa Kalinaw” over DYAJ Power 90.3 FM, Saturday September 7, 2013. The 30 minute program will serve as a conduit between the police and the community to engage and allow opportunity of interaction and information sharing regarding peace and order and crime prevention live on air. The program is divided into two segments. The first part is police news and announcements. And, the second part is the discussion of police issues and concerns that will be open to opinions, comments and interaction over the telephone or text at OCPO Hotline TM No. 0926213092 facilitated by Gotham Wayne of OCPO Police Community Relations along a radio guest PNP official responsible in the issuance of public statement for media relations.

The 1st radio guest official, who represented OCPO director PSSUPT ELIZAR P. EGLOSO, was deputy city director for operations PSupt Neil Bagares Montaño, who spoke about the significant program of the “Katambayayong Sa Kalinaw” which will serve as the police channel of connecting with the people; to gain its support to work for peace and order, security and safety in the neighborhood; and, to improve police services. A text message of cel no.09274923466 was received in the program expressing appreciation of the opening, promising support.

PSupt Montaño reciprocated to appreciate the encouraging support; gladly expressing that the program has certainly reached the ears of some, if not many for the start. It was encouraging as it demonstrated that there are people out in the City waiting to hear and get a chance to dialogue with the police and get in touch with their local policemen over the radio.

The program wind up shortly afterward with PSUPT MONTAÑO expressing his heartfelt gratitude to those who tuned-in to the program; to DYAJ Power 90.3 FM, whose facility loaned to OCPO for the program plays an important role reaching out to the community of widest dissemination; and, to OCPO director PSSUPT ELIZAR P. EGLOSO, whose trust and confidence bestowed him made it possible about police matters and the activities of the office.
