High school teacher in Dulag, Leyte filed with drug charges

Charges were filed against a high school teacher and three other drug suspects nabbed in separate buy-bust operations in the provinces of Leyte and Samar. Ruel Congzon, who teaches in Dulag National High School in Leyte, was arrested in Barangay Buntay in Dulag town. Seized from him was one sachet of suspected methamphetamine or “shabu” worth P500, and a P500 marked money.

Congzon, along with Lilibeth Paciencia, Danilo Cano, and Reynaldo Singanohon, will face the charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. Paciencia, a resident of Barangay Magbagacay in St. Bernard, Southern Leyte, was nabbed in the same village after selling one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu to an undercover cop who acted as poseur-buyer. Cano and Singanohon were arrested in Calbayog City in Samar in a buy-bust operation. Aside from the suspected shabu, confiscated from the suspects were P500 bill, two mobile phones and one unit of Honda XRM motorcycle.
