City clears fire-hit area

CEBU City’s Department of Engineering and Public Works (DEPW) started clearing the fire-gutted area on Palma St. in Barangay San Roque yesterday following a re-blocking plan.
This, as some fire survivors are asking the private sector for additional help, such as used clothes.
Judy Jane Barcebal, a student, said their clothes, including their school uniforms, were lost in the fire.
City Engineer Jose Marie Poblete said the fire scene is a 5,300-square-meter property.
