Retiree, 70, loses home to fire

A FIRE burned down the house of a retired teacher in Sitio Baas, Barangay Dakit, Bogo City last Sunday.
No one was hurt as house owner Evangeline Burlaos, 70, was watching television at her sister's house.
While the sisters are next-door neighbors, it was another neighbor who saw the fire
first.
The fire broke out around 7:30 p.m. and Burlaos was immediately informed about it.
Insp. Matt Reil Pono of the Bogo City Fire Station said in a phone interview that the alarm was received at 7:55 p.m.
Firemen are still investigating the cause of the fire.
