School says cutting of trees has permit

THE University of San Carlos-Talamban Campus said felled trees found by officials of the DENR 7’s Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) last Friday were covered by a special cutting permit.
Cerwin Eviota, USC-TC’s official spokesperson, said the Community Environment and Natural Resources (Cenro) in Cebu City had given them authority to cut down trees in the school’s property 11 years ago.
