Never be late for leyte (part 1) - News - Bubblews
Do you like this story?
Quit longing! (Give that ancient couch a break!). Take a cruise to a paradise just a plane away----LEYTE!
Time turners and time machines are evidently rare, thanks to Leyte and its compelling pull, that could draw us way back to the yesteryear, history is fairly acknowledged.
Nation’s Predecessor:
In honor of Philippines past, historical consciousness is reflected in Leyte’s territorial seal. It has stars symbolizing the town of the province. The white cross indicates Leyte’s second place of development and the upper portion commemorates General MacArthur’s return, which is also a perspective of the National Freedom Park,
For historical seekers detail about the Philippines, start with Leyte Landing at the Red Red Beach when General MacArthur arrived to free the people during World War II on 1944. Also found within the park is the Rock Garden, put up in 1994 for the 50th Leyte Landing Anniversary. This is where peace proclamation is engraved on stone tablets. At the center of the garden is the pillar of “Eternal Flame”. Stand by the very spot where the famous general declared his return and proclaim your own manifesto-an epic experience.
Another must-to-go journey is the Limawasa Island. Visit the island located off Padre Burgos, in order to reach the Limawasa Island, from Maasin or Bato ot tacloban, take a bus or van to Padre Burgos, Southern Leyte. Then hire a pump boat, or take a shuttle boat to take you to Limawasa., and take a power talk to the cross of Magellan. It was constructed when Portuguese explored and visited the Philippines during the late 14th century; it also indicated the recognition of religion in the country.
