Boxes of chemical in shabu making seized in QC bus terminal

MANILA, Philippines - Police on Friday seized 32 boxes of liquid chemical used in the manufacture of shabu at a bus terminal in Quezon City.
Authorities said the contraband was discovered at the Araneta Center bus terminal in Cubao, City after one of the bottles leaked inside the baggage compartment of an Isarog passenger bus, which was bound for Masbate.
Bus passengers complained of the chemical's stench when it leaked out of the boxes.
The Quezon City police said that aside from the liquid chemical, its personnel also seized powdered charcoal, electric burner and other equipment used in the production of shabu.
The seized items and chemicals were from a certain Johnny Lee and were supposed to be delivered to a certain Garry in Masbate.
Police have yet to determine the market value of the seized liquid chemicals.
