DOLE holds Job Fair, dental & optical, relief operation for Yolanda victims

A Jobs Fair, dental and optical mission and Relief Operations for Yolanda victims will be conducted at Ormoc City on December 13 and 14, 2013. Department of Labor and Employment Region 8 Director Exequiel Sarcauga told the Philippine Information Agency that the distribution of relief goods, school supplies, toys and slippers plus free optical and dental check up will be conducted on the first Day, December 13, 2013 at 7:00 o’clock in the morning at Valencia District in the City of Ormoc. On the second day, December 14, not less than 30 overseas recruitment agencies and another 30 local employers will arrive to participate in the said Jobs Fair in Ormoc City, Director Sarcauga said.

The Jobs Fair will be conducted at the Ormoc City Hall, Director Sarcauga added. Director Sarcauga estimates to 7000 the jobs available and ready for the victims of super typhoon Yolanda.

DOLE sustains its efforts in facilitating employment services in the aftermath of the super typhoon Yolanda by holding job fairs in the Region particularly to accommodate displaced workers.
