MANILA - Around 13 bodies were found by rescue workers in an island in Barangay San Jose in Tacloban, Leyte.

A retrieval team composed of volunteers from the Bureau of Fire Protection, Philippine Navy, and Philippine Air Force, went to a small island in Brgy. San Jose, located right in front of the Tacloban Airport.

Several bodies were retrieved from the island, including those of three children.

The unidentified bodies are believed to have been washed away by waves, as there are no inhabitants in the island.
