Village chief faces damage suit
Do you like this story?
A DAMAGE suit was filed in court against a village chief from Cebu City, who allegedly refused to issue a certification that would allow landowners to file charges to compel illegal settlers to vacate their property.
Petitioners Dr. Raul Sala, Carmela Lugue, and Hazel Peña filed a petition for mandamus with damages before the Regional Trial Court against Carreta Barangay Capt. Eduardo Lauron, the lupon tagapamayapa (peace mediators), and several members of the village’s conciliation panel.
