THE men and women of the Police Regional Office (PRO) 7 have a lot to smile about these days.
The crime rate in Central Visayas has decreased from January to June this year compared to the same period last year.
According to a crime data from PRO 7, the crime volume fell from 29,553 compared to last year’s 39,649, a decrease of 25.5 percent.
Supt. Henry Biñas, deputy chief of PRO 7’s Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division (RIDMD), attributed the decrease to the implementation of Police Integrated Patrol System (PIPS).
